These terms are an agreement between you and us. They cover the Insert Academy website, every course and workshop we sell on it, and all related services (together, the “Service”). When you sign up, you tick a box to confirm you have read and agree to these terms and have read our Privacy Policy. By creating an account or buying a course, you agree to these terms.
Our plugins and other Insert Frame products have their own terms on the Insert Frame legal hub. These terms apply only to the course platform.
1. The Service
Insert Academy is our online course platform. It hosts all Insert Frame education, including The Ultimate Framer Masterclass, The Framer Agent Masterclass, workshops, and any course we add later. The Service includes lesson videos, written lessons, downloadable files, quizzes, project submissions, progress tracking, certificates, badges, and account pages.
Some courses include live sessions or an invitation to a community hosted on Slack. Slack is a separate service with its own terms.
We may update, add, reorder, or retire lessons, and we may correct errors in course material. If we make a change that substantially reduces what you paid for, section 14 applies.
2. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old. Our courses are professional education and are not designed for children.
If you buy for a business or team, you confirm that you can bind that business to these terms. Each seat is for one named person.
3. Accounts
You need an account to access lessons. You can sign in with a magic link sent to your email or with Google.
You must:
- give a current email address you control, and keep your sign-in method secure
- use your account yourself and not share your login
- not let anyone else watch a course through your account
Tell us straight away at account@insertframe.io if you think someone else has accessed your account.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we reasonably believe is shared or resold, or that is used to abuse students, staff, or the Service. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond first.
4. Buying a course
Payment. We take payment through Stripe. The price at checkout is the price you pay, in the currency shown. Prices include GST where it applies. Stripe’s terms also apply to your payment.
Enrolment. A completed payment creates an enrolment for the email used at checkout, or for the account we link that payment to.
Access follows the payment. If you change the email on your account, your enrolment stays with you. If you paid with the wrong email, contact us and we will move the enrolment once we are satisfied the payment is yours.
How long access lasts. Your enrolment lasts for the period stated at purchase. If no period is stated, it lasts for as long as we offer the course on the Service, subject to section 14. Access ends early if the purchase is fully refunded, if a payment is disputed or reversed, or if we end it under section 14.
Discounts and promotions. Discount codes apply only on the terms stated with them. They cannot be applied after purchase, combined unless we say so, or exchanged for cash.
5. Refunds
Each course has its own refund policy, linked on its checkout page. That policy sets out when you can get a change-of-mind refund for that course. To ask for a refund, email account@insertframe.io from your account email with your order or receipt number. When a full refund is processed, your access to that course ends.
Chargebacks. Please contact us before you dispute a payment with your bank. We can usually resolve things faster. A dispute or chargeback ends access to the course while it is open. This does not affect your right to dispute a payment.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, screen-record, download, republish, share, or sell lesson videos, files, or quiz material, except files we mark as downloadable for your own study
- share your account or let others view course content through it
- get around access controls, signed video links, or rate limits
- scrape the Service, probe it for vulnerabilities, or interfere with how it runs
- upload anything unlawful, harmful, or that you do not have the right to upload
- harass, abuse, or spam staff or other students, including in any community or live session
- use our material to build a competing course, template pack, or training dataset
- misrepresent a certificate, badge, or completion record
7. Our content
We own the Service and the course material, or we have a licence to use it. That includes videos, text, designs, templates, quizzes, branding, and software.
While your enrolment is active, you have a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access the material for your own learning. We do not grant any other rights.
Files we mark as yours to use, such as templates or starter projects, can be used in your own and your clients’ projects. You may not resell or redistribute them on their own, or as part of a course, template pack, or marketplace listing.
8. Your submissions
If you submit a project, comment, or other material, you keep ownership of it. You give us a non-exclusive licence to host, store, and display it to you and our staff so we can review it, give feedback, and run the course. We keep it for as long as we need to run the course and keep records.
We will not show your submissions to other students, or use them in marketing, unless you agree. If we add public profiles later, they will be off until you turn them on.
Do not submit confidential information you are not allowed to share, such as an employer’s or client’s unreleased work.
9. Live sessions and community
Live sessions may be recorded and shared with students in that course. If you join with your camera or microphone on, or post in the chat, your name, image, voice, and messages may appear in the recording. You can stay off camera, mute your microphone, and use a display name instead.
Community spaces are for respectful, on-topic discussion. We may remove posts or members that break section 6.
10. Certificates
If you meet a course’s published completion requirements, we may issue a certificate and badges. Anyone with the link can view a certificate page. The link uses a random, non-sequential serial so you can share it, including on LinkedIn.
A certificate shows that you completed our course requirements. It is not an accredited qualification, a licence to practise, or an endorsement by Framer or any industry body. We may withdraw a certificate if it was issued in error or the enrolment was refunded or revoked.
11. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available but cannot promise uninterrupted access. Video, email, and payments depend on other providers, and maintenance or outages can interrupt the Service. We will restore access within a reasonable time. If a long outage makes a course unusable, you may have rights under section 13.
12. Disclaimers
Course material is education, not legal, financial, employment, or professional advice. Results depend on your own work. We do not promise a job, client, income, or any particular result.
Framer, AI models, and other third-party tools change often, so a lesson can become outdated. We update lessons where we reasonably can. We are not responsible for changes a third party makes to its product after a lesson was recorded. This does not limit your rights under section 13.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
If you buy the Service for business use and it is not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic, or household use, our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee is limited, where the law allows, to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
To the extent the law allows, and subject to the paragraphs above:
- we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost opportunity, or indirect or consequential loss
- our total liability arising from a course is limited to the amount you paid us for that course
These limits do not apply to liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
14. Ending access
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to close your account. Closing an account does not refund a purchase on its own. Section 5 covers refunds.
We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, if a payment is disputed or reversed, or if required by law.
If we stop offering a course you paid for before your access period ends, and we do not offer a reasonable replacement, we will refund the unused portion of what you paid.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time, for example when we add courses or features, or when the law changes. The current version is always on this page with its effective date.
If a change is material and could disadvantage you, we will email account holders at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept a material change, you can close your account before it takes effect and we will refund the unused portion of any course you cannot reasonably use under the old terms. Changes do not apply to a refund you already asked for, and they never reduce a refund right on a purchase made before the change.
16. Complaints and disputes
If something goes wrong, email account@insertframe.io first. We aim to reply within 3 business days and to resolve complaints within 30 days. If we cannot resolve it, you can contact Consumer Affairs Victoria or the consumer protection agency in your state or territory.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. The courts of Victoria and the Commonwealth courts of Australia have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may still bring a claim in your local court and rely on the consumer laws of the place you live.
18. General
- If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not waived it.
- You may not transfer your enrolment or these terms to someone else without our written consent. We may transfer them to a business that takes over the Service, and your rights will continue.
- These terms, the Privacy Policy, and anything shown to you at checkout are the whole agreement about the Service.
